Welcome to our hockey world !! Here we keep a record of games that the boys have played for family and friends. Since our family is scattered in various locations, we find it easier to put up schedules on the web for occasional get-togethers.
Both boys have been skating since an early age. Anthony introduced us to the sport at age 7, playing for 7 years, then taking an early retirement from youth hockey, substituting a job and a girlfriend to keep him busy. Tommy started at age 5, and continues to skate in our youth hockey organization. He would like to continue throughout high school, and possibly beyond.
Our two boys both enjoy the sport, and have learned important lessons that carry way beyond the ice. Hopefully, they have learned responsibility, cooperation, teamwork, self-discipline, and self-control. Since the Learn to Skate program, the boys have been responsible for carrying their own bags, dressing themselves, caring for their gear, and preparing for games and practices.
We expect our children to try their hardest at everything they do. We expect them to be courteous and respectful to adults. We expect them to be disciplined individuals, and to exhibit self-control at all times. We expect them to win with humility, and to lose with dignity.
Youth hockey has provided us with many hours of fun, the opportunity to travel throughout the NorthEast and Canada, and has allowed us to meet many fine people along the way. Feel free to speak to the boys about the lessons they have learned.....and thanks for visiting our world...
